1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Daily Manna mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Daily Manna is a mobile Bible study application that provides users with:

• Verse-by-verse biblical commentary from multiple sources
• AI-compiled answers to biblical questions using scholarly resources
• Token-based access to enhanced AI-powered study features
• Early Church writings and historical insights (Pro feature)
• Comprehensive book overviews (Pro feature)
• Personal notes and bookmarks functionality
• Cross-platform synchronization of user data

3. User Accounts and Age Requirements

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your account information up to date
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Be at least 13 years old (users under 18 require parental consent)

4. Token System and In-App Purchases

4.1 Token-Based Features

Certain AI-powered features require tokens to access:

• Simple AI-compiled answers: 2 tokens per query
• Enhanced AI-compiled answers: 5 tokens per query
• Free searches provide access to commentary without AI compilation

4.2 Token Purchases

Tokens can be purchased through in-app purchases processed by your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Token packages are available in various amounts. Purchased tokens never expire and remain in your account indefinitely.

4.3 Pro Upgrade

The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase that provides lifetime access to:

• Early Church writings and historical insights
• Comprehensive book overviews
• Bonus tokens with every token purchase
• Priority access to future premium features
• Exclusive discounts on upcoming products

4.4 Payment Processing

All purchases are processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Payment will be charged to your App Store or Google Play account. We do not directly process payments or store payment information.

4.5 Refunds

Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google through their respective app stores, as we do not process payments directly. Refund policies are subject to the app store's terms and conditions.

5. AI-Powered Features and Third-Party Services

5.1 AI Content Generation

Our Service uses artificial intelligence (Claude AI by Anthropic) to compile and format answers from biblical commentary sources. The AI does not create original theological content but organizes existing scholarly resources into readable formats.

5.2 Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

• Firebase (Google) for data storage and authentication
• Anthropic's Claude AI for content compilation
• Apple App Store and Google Play Store for payments

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

6. Data Storage and Synchronization

Your account data, including notes, bookmarks, and usage history, is stored securely in the cloud using Firebase services. This enables synchronization across your devices. By using the Service, you consent to this cloud storage and synchronization.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content provided through the Service, including but not limited to software, user interface, graphics, logos, and compiled study materials, is owned by Daily Manna or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Biblical Texts and Commentary

Biblical texts are in the public domain. Commentary and scholarly works are used under appropriate licenses or fair use provisions for educational and religious purposes.

7.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of personal notes and content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other automated means to access the Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
• Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent the token system or payment mechanisms

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or other reasons at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though you may retain access to previously purchased Pro features.

10. App Store Terms

When you download the Service from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you also agree to their respective terms of service. In case of any conflict between these Terms and the app store terms, the app store terms shall prevail for matters related to the download and installation of the application.

11. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide reasonable notice and, where applicable, assist with data export.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF CONTENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAILY MANNA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Daily Manna and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law. You retain the right to seek relief in small claims court for qualifying disputes.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated terms within the application or on our website. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
